ABOUT
Welcome to Meta Mind Muse:
The One-Stop Mindful Self-Care Shop for Curious Minds & Overthinkers.
Bringing mind health, body positivity, empowerment, and authenticity - the aim here is to make you as independent as you can be regarding health and wellbeing.
Helping you reach Meta (beyond) the Mind to a place that feels more Muse-like, inspired, and free - we use a combination of traditional and inclusive techniques to make mindful self-care and yoga:
Simple ~ Practical ~ Accessible
OUR STORY
Born from quiet observation and reflection, Meta Mind Muse was created to tackle some of the glaring imbalances in society that make it difficult for people to access what they need. Take for example, healthcare. With a continuing rise in physical and mental health problems, globally - along with more people, and less funding / staffing / resources - these issues don't appear to be getting any better.

Hence, it's time to change that, and that's where we come in (as do you).

Be a part of the change, and let's take back some of the control.

Nurture your mind, ease your body, and say hello to your soul.

WHAT WE TEACH
Meta Mind Muse makes regular self-care practice less of an elitist rarity, and more of a practical and accessible routine. Which means we do not follow stereotypes, stigmas, or groupthink - and we do not strive for perfection when it doesn't exist.

What we do is teach simple, practical, and accessible self-care classes, courses, and content designed for a range of minds and bodies - so that no one need feel left out!

Our ethos is: Rather than chase unrealistic, unnecessary, or unfulfilling ideals - we help individuals take it back to basics when it comes to self-care. After all, life can be challenging enough without having to worry about getting to grips with a new wellbeing regime.
Keeping it empowering and inclusive - the aim is to condense teacher-level knowledge and skills, into easily digestible sessions to nurture the body, mind, and emotions. Allowing you the freedom to practice confidently at home - in your own way - on your own terms.
Because, rather than keep you hooked on our services or lost within external distractions - success to us is when our students feel prepared to 'go it alone.' Thus, allowing you the space to feel stronger, more independent, and more trusting in one's self.
Mindful, physical strengthening and stretching movements performed in time with deep breathing. No force, no comparison - just empowerment.
Peaceful contemplation and stillness - shifting focus away from external distraction to delve deeper into self-awareness, intuition, and purpose.
Breathing exercises designed for a variety of purposes. Such as detox, relaxation, and balance for the mind, body, and emotions. Useful when stressed or busy.
Guided 'deep sleep' meditation for healing, brain training, and stress-relief. Designed for calming the mind and relieving aches and tension the body.
Being less consumed by thoughts and feelings about the past and the future. Becoming fully aware of the present moment to notice subtleties.
Choose any combination of practices to do self-care in your own way - and add others such as Mudra and Bandha, Detox, or Mindfulness In Nature.
HOW WE TEACH
Moving away from classroom and studio settings where external distractions can be rife and sometimes detrimental to practice - we help people ditch long commutes and awkward small talk with strangers to instead - bring the practice, home. Which means: More empowerment and independence. Less group-think comparisons - and much more authentic understanding of self through relaxed introspection.
TEACHING STYLE
In terms of teaching style, we like to fuse together both Eastern tradition and Western modernism - drawing upon ancient practices passed down through generations' of yogis in the East, while also making present day tweaks and adaptations, for accessibility and practicality in the West.

Using Classical Hatha Yoga in terms of physical movement, with a gentle, inclusive focus - we usually adopt a slower, more mindful pace of yoga that is more about relaxation and connection to breathing, than it is about yanking and pushing the body in to unnecessary positions.
Preferring restoration of the body, mind, and emotions, we help you find balance within the various systems in the body to include the cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous system. Along with providing essential care for the muscles, bones, and joints.

Meanwhile, other self-care practices such as Mindfulness, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and more - help to nourish the mind, calm the nerves, and balance out emotions and hormones.

When used together in a a holistic, all-bases-covered way using the various techniques listed above - then great physical, mental, and energetic improvements to wellbeing are made possible.
