WHAT WE TEACH
At Meta Mind Muse, we see yoga as way more than just a physical exercise. Therefore, rather than simply focus on the mechanics and aesthetics of the body and the way we look in a pose, we prefer to focus on all aspects of existence - the body, the mind, the emotions, and any other energetic or chemical components that create and maintain health and wellbeing.

We offer short, free classes via the Meta Mind Muse YouTube channel. Along with private, one-to-one classes designed for all levels of ability from complete beginner to advanced - aiming to condense and simplify a range of information and practices to make yoga more accessible.​​​​
HOW WE TEACH IT
Specialising in Classical Hatha Yoga, we fully respect the wisdom of the ancients and the traditions of the East; while at the same time noting the need for flexible adaptation, to suit the more modern lifestyles of the West.

Aside from traditional Hatha Yoga, we also use elements of Yin, Restorative, and Raja - with typically slower and more gentle sequences aimed at balancing the body, mind, and emotions. Above all, we help people reach more relaxed and intuitive states of awareness for improved intuition and purpose-driven empowerment. Although, we also appreciate the need for more dynamic and challenging practices from time to time, to help improve cardiovascular fitness and weight loss. ​

HOW IT WORKS
In time and with regular practice, you will essentially train your brain to 'power down' at will. Creating new neural pathways and connections, as you learn to (consciously) cycle through the brainwave frequencies that are most often experienced during sleep.

At the same time, you'll slow down resting heart rate and lower your blood pressure; increase your lung capacity and efficiency; boost digestion and elimination; and balance out your nerves and your hormones.
​
Not only that, but your immune system gets a good clean-out, too, because yoga asana (or physical stretching) is basically like one big moving massage! Which means you get to squeeze out all the unhealthy stuff that collects in the glands, muscles organs, fat, and skin - effectively taking the word 'detox' to another level. Meanwhile, the simple act of breathing acts as a detox tool, too - further helping you to 'clean up' on a cellular level!

Then, of course, there are the more obvious benefits of yoga, such as increased mobility, flexibility, strength, and balance. ​And the list goes on...
